1. When did you start writing poetry?
I started writing poetry a year and a half ago. I was going through a difficult time and all of my thoughts, emotions, and realizations came to me as poems: pre-composed in full. The poems kept coming and they wouldn’t stop— I couldn’t write them down fast enough.
2. Why did you decide to start sharing your words on Instagram?
I think I may have initially started posting them on Instagram secretly hoping that the person I was writing about would see them. I wish the opposite of that now and am grateful it brought me here.
3. Are you planning on releasing your own poetry book?
Yes I plan on releasing my book around 2021! I have over 250 poems that made the cut, separated into 4 sections that I will be announcing. (Most of my posts are just partial pieces of the full-length poems that will be in my book).
4. We noticed your an artist as well. Your pieces are incredible! Do you sell them?
Thank you! Yes I sell my art on Etsy (domestic and international)! Here’s the link if you want to check it out: https://www.etsy.com/shop/YoursTrulyInkDesigns If you zoom in on my artwork, you’ll find countless purposefully placed tiny dots and lines. Since I work with ink, that’s how I create shading and texture, it’s very fun and very tedious!
5. Have you ever thought about doing illustrations for other’s poetry books?
Yes and I actually am starting on an illustration project for a fellow author right now, as well as discussing possible illustrations for other authors. If anyone is thinking about illustration options I’d love for them to reach out and we can see if I’m a good fit for their vision!
6. We heard from Wattney you also do tarot cards! How did you get into that?
Yes! I have done over 100 professional tarot readings. I have always been “in tune” and tarot became my medium to channel my insights for others. I feel like it found me more than I found it. I have yet to be inaccurate and love to amaze myself as much as the client! My motto is: you are the creator of your own future, I show you a highly positive outcome that is ready for you and share with you channeled guidance from your higher-self for how to get there. It’s all geared toward growth and healing, not what most people think as “physic” stuff.
7. Would you recommend Poet Possibilities to a poet friend? If so, why?
I definitely would and do all the time! Why? Because I would not be here if it was not for them. I never wanted to play the “Instagram game” and would blindly hope that people would find me, and believed that if they did they would love my work! But because of Poet Possibilities I’ve learned how to reach people and gain an audience while being genuine and true to myself! So, thank you!
